What You’ll Do

  • Lead the fleet department’s strategic direction and long-term financial performance, aligning with corporate and operational goals.

  • Develop and implement fleet safety programs and DOT compliance processes across a multi-state operation.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision making, cost analysis, and preventive maintenance optimization.
  • Manage annual capital and operating budgets, ensuring accountability for spend, utilization, and asset performance.
  • Champion innovation in telematics, GPS, and maintenance technology to enhance safety, efficiency, and visibility.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience managing large mobile fleets (1,000+ assets preferred).
  • Strong financial acumen and experience developing and managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
  • Deep knowledge of fleet maintenance, vehicle lifecycle management, DOT/Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations, and vendor negotiations.
  • Proven ability to lead distributed teams and develop high-performing talent.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, GPS/telematics systems, and maintenance or ERP databases.

Why This Role Matters

This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational readiness, safety, and cost-effectiveness for one of the nation’s largest employee-owned service organizations. You’ll have the opportunity to modernize systems, elevate performance, and leave a measurable impact on a company with an 85-year legacy of reliability and service excellence.
