There is a kind of prayer that is not meant to accompany life but to transform life. A prayer that doesn’t begin with text or emotional expression but with a shift in consciousness. This kind of prayer doesn’t place the ‘I’ at the center, with its needs and requests, but rather the unfolding revelation from which the ‘I’ is formed. This kind of prayer requires studying the ancient wisdom of the kabbalistic
sages, who developed tools and practices to open unique life processes.

The Art of Prayer is a regenerative learning approach exploring a core component of our shared human existence – our natural capacity for prayer. It is a framework of practices, in which people from all walks of life and traditions, religious and secular, prayers and non-prayers – are invited to reconnect and rediscover gateways into the field of prayer.

Together we reformulate and refresh pathways into the intimate experience of being in the world; of being in the field of prayer; of becoming creatures endowed with curiosity, kindness and a sensitivity to the yet unknown. It is about transforming our understanding of the act of prayer from a mere practice into a living model for existence.

We live in a generation in which a prayer revolution is unfolding. Prayer, which was perceived as a religious duty learned by its practitioners during its very performance, is now being discovered as a life model for growth. In religious language, it can be said that prayer is a form of perception and practice that seeks to develop our “image of God”, and thus one’s life, and reality, are revealed in a new light.
For this purpose, we need to:
  • Relearn the Art of Prayer
  • Distinguish between the act of prayer as a ‘pure movement’ and between the prayer book, and synagogues.
  • Understand anew how the prayer book and places of gathering can empower the act of prayer.
In this sense, prayer is primarily in its essence not a “religious duty” or “community event” or “belonging to tradition” but a radical action that can change the face of society and humanity.
